Overview
Constantin Matei is a Senior Associate within the criminal law practice group of Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații.
Over the past years he has successfully assisted some of the firm’s most important clients in key market areas such as retail, telecommunications, renewable energy, agriculture, petroleum in the areas of criminal law, contentious-administrative law, civil and commercial disputes, as well as tax law.
His broad portfolio of projects includes defence provided in cases of tax evasion, money laundering, corruption offenses, cybercrime and work-related accidents.
Constantin Matei is a pleading lawyer before Romanian authorities, from district courts to courts of appeal, providing in-depth, prompt and professional legal advice on any criminal law matter, including by highlighting the potential risks of a particular conduct. He has also defended his clients’ interests in procedures brought before the European Court of Justice against the Romanian state for the improper implementation of European Law.
He is also an author / co-author to numerous articles in national publications on criminal law matters.
