Laurențiu Văsii

Laurențiu Văsii is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration practice group. He specialises in administrative litigation disputes (including in the field of public procurement), civil and commercial litigation, acting as a pleading lawyer before Romanian courts of all levels of jurisdiction, including the High Court of Cassation and Justice and the Constitutional Court of Romania.

Laurențiu assisted numerous foreign and local clients as regards both the relevant procedures prior to initiating legal proceedings, as well as with respect to the preparation of all procedural documents and ensuring representation before the courts in various cases, arising from contractual, tort, company law relationships.

In particular, Laurențiu has solid experience in the field of administrative law, having represented clients in cases having as object the annulment of some administrative acts (including administrative-fiscal acts) issued by the authorities, recovery of the damage caused as a result of the issuance of the administrative act, as well as in litigations in the field of public procurement.

Laurențiu also has a strong track record of success in actions/claims having as object the initiation of insolvency proceedings, contestation of debt tables, in actions in annulment of fraudulent transfers made by the debtor during the suspicious period, in cases having as object the liability of administrators / members of the management and/or supervisory bodies in the insolvency proceedings.

He speaks English fluently and has a good knowledge of French language.

• Member of the legal team assisting and representing one of the leading waste management companies in Romania in relation to several complex litigations in connection with the assignement of the contract for the provision of street sanitation and winter service within District 1 of Bucharest, respectively recovery of the damage suffered as a result of the illegal assignement of the contract for the provision of the street sanitation service and the winter service within the District 1 of the Municipality of Bucharest.
• Member of the legal team assisting and representing a company acting in the field of household appliances in a litigation regarding the state aids received by the client.
• Member of the legal team assisting and representing one of the leading waste management companies in Romania in connection with a dispute regarding the contestation of the procedure for awarding the public procurement contract having as object “Delegation by concession of the public sanitation service (including the snow removal component) at the level of Sector 6 of Bucharest” before C.N.S.C. and the court.
• Member of the legal team assisting and representing in a complex litigation, having as object the recovery of approximately EUR 1,300,000, in connection with the non-execution/improper execution of an enterprise contract having as objective an important skating rink.
