Ruxandra Țenea is an Associate with the Competition & Antitrust practice group.
Her expertise involves legal advice on the application of full-scale competition law matters including antitrust proceedings before the Romanian Competition Council, domestic and cross-border transactions across various industries (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures etc.), state security screening procedures under the foreign investment rules, as well as state aid and competition compliance matters.

Furthermore, Ruxandra also provides advice on civil and competition law related issues in the framework of due diligences, along with assistance regarding state aid concerns and consumer protection matters.

She is fluent in English and has an advanced knowledge of French.

Relevant Matters:

• Member of the team assisting a leading snack manufacturer in the merger control procedure before the Romanian Competition Council on the joint acquisition of a series of subsidiaries active in the manufacturing and distribution of popcorn maize and popcorn snacks.
• Member of the legal team advising two parties active on the financial leasing market on an investigation initiated by the Romanian Competition Council regarding an anticompetitive practice consisting in sharing sensitive commercial information.
• Member of the legal team advising a national key State-owned company in the energy sector in an investigation considering the role of facilitator in a bid rigging cartel.
• Member of the legal team advising a top retail chain in Romania in relation to day-to-day competition issues relevant for its activity in Romania.
