Members of the Final Selection Committee are tasked with reviewing the shortlisted submissions in each CEE jurisdiction and casting votes to select the ultimate winners – including the final CEE Deal of the Year.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has obtained, for an optics company, a final judgment of the Supreme Court on the full refund of VAT collected unlawfully based on a rate wrongly imposed by the Romanian State. Refunded amounts will also include tax interest accruing from the date when the undue VAT amounts were paid to the State budget, not only from the date of submission of the VAT statement whereby the amounts were requested.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații advised the banking syndicate consisting of Banca Comercială Română, as coordinator and lender, Raiffeisen Bank, BRD Groupe Societe Generale, Banca Transilvania, ING Bank N.V. Amsterdam Sucursala București and Erste Group Bank AG, as lenders, in making available an additional EUR 50.7 million credit facility to MedLife Group. The new funds are part of a EUR 228 million syndicated loan and will be dedicated to strengthening and streamlining the Group's business. The team was led by Mihai Dudoiu (Partner) provided legal assistance to the financing banks throughout the entire project. Sergiu Negreanu (Managing Associate) and Sorina Ștefoni (Associate) also worked on the matter.

GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group company and Digital Engineering leader, signed a definitive agreement to acquire the group of companies Fortech SRL and Fortech Software Solutions SRL, one of the largest IT service providers in Romania. Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații fielded a team of lawyers acting on the buyer's side and covering the full scope of services including M&A, corporate/commercial, competition, IT/IP, employment, and data privacy.
