The American company Smithfield took over a Romania-based meat processed company owned by two local entrepreneurs. The acquisition was carried out through Smithfield Europa's Romanian subsidiary ELIT SRL. The firm advised the buyer with a team of lawyers led by Partner Silvana Ivan, covering the full scope of services as regards M&A (due diligence, drafting and negotiating the transaction documents etc) and Partner Andreea Oprișan as regards competition/antitrust issues, including the relevant notifications to the relevant Romanian authorities.

Bank of Cyprus has recently concluded the sale of a corporate portfolio with a face value of around EUR 147 million to an entity part of the APS group. Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații acted on buyer's side, covering all the legal and financial aspects of the transaction with a team led by Partner Mihai Dudoiu together with Sergiu Negreanu (Managing Associate) and Sorina Ștefoni (Associate).

Strategic investor Hili Properties, part of Hili Ventures, has purchased a controlling stake of 75% in the Miro office building, developed by Speedwell in northern Bucharest. The remaining stake in the project will remain in the developer's ownership for another two years.
