For the second year in a row, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații supports the annual World Press Photo Exhibition in Romania
The annual World Press Photo Exhibition reopened in Bucharest at the beginning of this month, at the initiative of EIDOS Cultural Foundation, founded by the Romanian documentary photographer Cristian Movilă, best known to the public for his reportage and human interest stories for top international magazines such as Newsweek, The New York Times and National Geographic.
For the second year in a row, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații supports the annual World Press Photo Exhibition in Romania. The most important international photojournalism exhibition can be visited in Piața Universității, Bucharest, until May 26th.

We have once again joined forces with the EIDOS Cultural Foundation as we endeavour to encourage talent and performance in any form” declared Sorin Vlădescu, Partner at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații.

Given that the media is undergoing a significant business model transformation, a different type of approach is needed, one which assures uncensored access to information and image. This is also the main reason why, from the start, World Press Photo rewarded and recognised the work of those photojournalists who were dedicated to certain subjects which, although important, rarely make a cover story”, says Cristian Movilă, founder of EIDOS Cultural Foundation.
The photographs presented this year were declared winners at the World Press Photo contest in 2013, and were selected from a total of 103,481 images taken by 5,666 photographers from 124 participating countries. In 2012, at the initiative of EIDOS Cultural Foundation – the organizer of this year’s exhibition – the most awarded press photographs returned to Romania after a 17-year hiatus and attracted over 25,000 visitors.
The World Press Photo Exhibition 2013 is open until May 26th, from 11.00 AM to 9.00 PM, in a specially designed location in Piața Universității.
