Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has made a high-profile hire for its Bucharest office with the addition of Gabriela Anton, a Partner at Vilău & Mitel for the past 5 years.
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has announced the lateral hire of Gabriela Anton from Vilău & Mitel on the position of Managing Associate with the firm. The move will see local independent Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații further strengthen its capabilities in Banking and Finance, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions. This hire follow a string of six partner appointments with Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații over the last month which will bring the total number of partners at 21.
With more than 9 years of expertise, Gabriela Anton mainly specialises in Banking and Finance (including Real Estate Finance), as well as Mergers & Acquisitions. She has been directly involved in major projects, such as the acquisition of HVB Banca pentru Locuințe and its subsequent merger into Raiffeisen Banca pentru Locuințe, the merger of UniCredit România with HVB Țiriac, the take-over of the Bucharest Branch of Banca di Roma, the acquisition of Tractorul UTB Brașov, the transfer of project finance contracts portfolio held by MKB Romexterra Bank while also providing assistance to Raiffeisen Bank in relation to various important financing and investment projects, etc. Moreover, Gabriela has advised credit institutions, investment funds, and other financial institutions and companies in connection with various financing and investment projects.
Her practice also focuses on Competition Law, Corporate/Commercial Law, Real Estate and Taxation. Some of her key clients include companies active in the pharmaceutical industry, real estate, telecommunications, petrochemical industry and transportation.

Gabriela Anton graduated in 2000 from the University of Bucharest – the Faculty of Law and the University of Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne – College of Law for European Studies and was admitted to the Bucharest Bar in 2001. From 2000 to 2003, she worked within Mușat & Asociații law firm, and in 2003 she joined the team of Vilău & Mitel. As of 2006, Gabriela Anton was appointed Partner with Vilău & Mitel, coordinating complex projects of the firm, particularly in Banking & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Competition, Corporate and Commercial Law. Gabriela has received numerous international recommendations for her work in the legal field, for her expertise in Finance & Baking Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, being acknowledged in the recent years by various international professional directories, including the prestigious publication “European Legal Experts”.
