Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații leads on Swiss media group Ringier’s acquisition of top Romanian online real estate portal
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații acted for Ringier, one of the largest international media groups operating in Romania, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Imobiliare.ro from Broadhurst Investments. Imobiliare.ro is Romania’s leading online advertising portal for real estate classifieds.
“Imobiliare.ro acquisition is a further step in our approach to systematically transform and digitize our business in all the markets we serve, including in Eastern Europe.”, Ringier AG CEO Marc Walder said, as quoted in a press release.
Acting for the buyer, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații fielded a five-lawyer team led by Partner Dragoș Apostol. The advice covered the full range of M&A and corporate issues. The team included Roxana PANĂ, Senior Associate; Gabriel VĂSII, Senior Associate; and Veronica AMAN, Associate.
The deal is referred to as the largest one in the media sector so far.
