Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații scores a hat trick winning three awards from Ziarul Financiar
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații won three awards at this year’s Lawyers’ Gala event hosted by Ziarul Financiar – Romania’s top business and financial newspaper.
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații earned top honours for the firm’s contribution to the successful completion of some of country’s largest deals at last week’s Lawyers’ Gala organised by Ziarul Financiar. In the presence of approximately 150 attendees, Ziarul Financiar recognised and celebrated law firms with a track record of success in some of the largest deals taking place in Romania in the course of the past 12 months, according to the organisers. A total of 16 law firms have been awarded for the work done in relation to ten deals across various industry sectors.
From a total of ten transactions, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații took three awards in recognition of the firm’s work in the “biggest deals” taking place in a particular industry sector in 2013.
Based on the data held by Ziarul Financiar, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații received the top accolade for the “Largest Deal in the Banking Sector”, advising UniCredit Tiriac Bank on taking over the retail client portfolio of RBS Bank Romania.
The firm was also acknowledged for its contribution to the “Largest Deal in FMCG”, following the acquisition by Expur of the edible oil brand “Bunica” from Cargill.
Ziarul Financiar named Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații as a winner of the “Largest Deal in the Construction Industry” award, based on the firm’s work done in relation to the acquisition of Deutek (Romania’s largest manufacturer of decorative paints and coatings) by Emerging Europe Accession Fund (EEAF).
The Lawyers’ Gala is organised by Ziarul Financiar in order to recognise the best performers in the 2013 business law market. There were a total of 16 law firms being honoured for their contribution to the successful closing of ten notable transactions in areas such as capital markets, banking, real estate, retail, pharma, agri-business, IT&C, FMCG, construction. Also, a special accolade went to a Romanian lawyer for the “Largest Acquisition Performed by a Romanian Entrepreneur” in 2013.
