Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații wins the “Law Firm of the Year” Award at the annual CIJ Awards Romania Gala
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații was chosen as the “Law Firm of the Year” during the awards ceremony hosted by CEE CIJ, Central & Eastern Europe’s leading Real Estate magazine.
Already in their 4th edition, the CIJ Awards Romania 2011 ceremony was held on December 8th at the Athénée Palace Hilton and brought together the real estate elite in Romania. Started in 2008, the Bucharest edition quickly became one of the CIJ’s most popular evenings of the year.
The winner in the “Law Firm of the Year” category was chosen from a group of five shortlisted law firms including Biris Goran, NNDKP, Salans and Wolf Theiss, following an on-line voting process involving more than 100 top CEO's doing real estate business around Romania.
Cătălin Hanu from the Czech developer CTP Invest presented the award for the “Law Firm of the Year” to Răzvan Gheorghiu-Testa, Partner at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații and Co-Head of the firm’s Real Estate practice group.
Commenting on the award, Răzvan Gheorghiu-Testa said: „It is an honor and a privilege to accept this award on behalf of the real estate team at the firm. This recognition is testament to our team’s collective efforts in what has been another somewhat challenging year for the real estate sector. We would especially like to thank everyone who has voted for us!”
In a gala atmosphere, and in the presence of several hundred representatives of the Romanian real estate sector, 14 trophies were awarded for outstanding achievement in office development, shopping development, shopping center development, retail development, industrial development, as well as to developers, investors, project management companies, property management teams, real estate agencies and law firms. The CIJ Awards nominations were open to all developments completed anywhere in Romania between January 1st 2011 and December 31st 2011. PricewaterhouseCoopers advised and controlled the selection process for transparency and accuracy.
