Resources needed in our direct taxes department! Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii Tax, the collaborating firm of Andersen Global in Romania, is strengthening its team on corporate, individual, and international tax.

Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii Tax is acknowledged for its capabilities in handling transactional tax issues, group reorganisations, industry specific matters (. in energy and oil/gas, financial services, gambling), as well as transfer pricing. A further focus of our practice is the analysis, from a fiscal point of view, as well as the structuring and implementation of various employee stock options plans in Romania.

The firm provides a full range of tax advisory and tax compliance services, such as: transaction planning, operational tax advice, efficiency structures, tax reviews and due diligence, tax authorities’ audits and dispute resolution, tax compliance and representation, acting on complex tax controversy cases, alongside Tuca Zbârcea & Asociatii’s dispute resolution team.

Our favorite candidates:

If you have 1 to 4 years of experience in taxation/accounting being exposed to direct taxation (preferably in the world of consulting/advisory), you may be the one we’re looking for.

You will take on a variety of tasks:

  • Provides day to day assistance in the field of direct taxation;
  • Provides assistance regarding mergers and spin-offs (preparation of analyses regarding the tax implications of the merger and spin-offs, preparation of the merger/spin-off plans, assistance regarding the fiscal aspects post implementation of such reorganization processes);
  • Provides assistance during tax audits carried out by the tax authorities and in the preparation of documentation for appeals against tax assessment decisions issued by the tax authorities;
  • Provides assistance in the preparation of tax returns (corporate income tax return, single tax return, etc.);
  • Provides assistance during tax reviews and tax due diligence;
  • Provides assistance on tax procedure issues (tax registration of taxpayers, tax domicile, obtaining tax certificates, recover of taxes overpaid from the tax authorities, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects of different types (advice, tax disputes, assistance during tax audits, tax restructuring projects, mergers/spin-offs, due diligence);
  • Tenacity to learn and adapt to our dynamic tax consulting business;
  • Reliability, good communication skills, team-player;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools;
  • Fluency in English.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences;
  • Master’s degree in taxation/accounting would be desirable.
