Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has remained the sole Eastern European independent law firm included in this year’s “Financial Times` Innovative Lawyers – FT Law 50” report. More so, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has proved to be the only independent law firm in Continental Europe to be ranked in the top 15 positions, more so receiving the fourth highest score in the general rankings of the “Financial Times Innovative Lawyers” report (233 points), right after renowned international law firms such as - Clifford Chance (336), Allen & Overy (328) and Eversheds (284).

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has recently embarked on a new pro bono initiative gathering top players in the Romanian financial investment market to optimize and develop the legal framework in the capital markets` sector. The capital market teams at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, and teams from 9 different banks/investment companies, as well as 7 leading law firms have undertaken a unique advocacy initiative in Romania by constituting a Working Group on capital markets regulation.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații was chosen as the law firm of the year during the ceremony organized by the prestigious British publication: “The Lawyer”. The Romanian firm was shortlisted for two categories at this year’s edition, “Law Firm of the Year: Eastern Europe & the Balkans” and “Managing Partner of the Year”, represented by Florentin Țuca. “The Lawyer” organized “The Lawyer European Awards 2010” awards ceremony in Berlin, on the 23rd of September, an evening dedicated to the legal elite on the old continent.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații announced today that it signed a cooperation agreement with Țurcan & Țurcan – leader of the business law market in Chișinău (Republic of Moldova). This is Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații’s second initiative of international alliance after having opened, in December 2009, a representative office in Madrid to match the increasingly global needs of Iberian investors. The representative office in Madrid acts in association with the local consultancy firm Fúster García-Berdoy. Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații will cooperate with Țurcan & Țurcan law firm under a "best friend relationship”. The firms will be able to provide customized consultancy services to a significant segment of the business environment in the Republic of Moldova and Romania, benefiting both the investors with strong local presence and those interested in developing trade relations with the Republic of Moldova or Romania.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații is the sole Romanian independent law firm to have been shortlisted in two categories at The Lawyer European Awards 2010: Law Firm of the Year (Eastern Europe & The Balkans) and European Managing Partner of the Year. The second edition of The Lawyer European Awards 2010 organized by the UK-magazine The Lawyer will take place in Berlin, on Thursday 23rd September 2010. During the event, there will be given 18 awards to those law firms that have outperformed over the past year, and also to the law firm leaders having achieved a significant contribution towards the expansion and overall development of their business, in the previous 12 months.
