The British publication International Financial Law Review – IFLR hosted its annual Europe Awards ceremony in London to celebrate the region's most innovative cross-border work and those behind it. Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații scooped the “Law Firm of the Year Award: Romania” for the fifth time.

Carrefour has recently announced it signed an agreement with Louis Delhaize Group for the acquisition of the local subsidiary that operates the group’s business in Romania under the brand “CORA”. The French retailer retained Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații as legal advisor on this deal.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații obtains a landmark High Court of Cassation and Justice ruling for an optics company

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has obtained, for an optics company, a final judgment of the Supreme Court on the full refund of VAT collected unlawfully based on a rate wrongly imposed by the Romanian State. Refunded amounts will also include tax interest accruing from the date when the undue VAT amounts were paid to the State budget, not only from the date of submission of the VAT statement whereby the amounts were requested.
