As of 1st of May 2009, Mihai Dudoiu is Managing Associate with Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații and Co-ordinator of the firm’s Banking & Finance practice group. The appointment will see Mihai Dudoiu take on strategic responsibility for further strengthening the firm’s Banking and Finance practice group. Before joining Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, Mihai Dudoiu was Senior Associate and Co-coordinator of the Banking and International Finance Department of CMS Cameron McKenna for 3 years.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații launches today www.ckc.tuca.ro, a blog developed by the firm’s Crisis Knowledge Team (CKT). The web portal features articles on the hottest topics of the day targeting mainly the companies facing difficulties amid crisis, especially in relation to workforce restructuring and cutting labour related costs, reshaping of commercial contracts, debt recovery, collusions and practices in the downturn.

For the second time in a row, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații has this year again been awarded the Law Firm of the Year at the fourth Annual Investment Awards Gala organised by the English-language magazine Business Review. An independent panel of judges consisting of top representatives of the Romanian business community chose Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații as the winner in the Law Firm of the Year category from a list of 4 international and local law firms.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații broke the €20,000,000 turnover barrier for the first time. According to the data provided by the Romanian law firm, the turnover reached €23,572,074 (VAT included) in 2008 while the revenues stood at a healthy €21,449,275 (VAT included).

The ceremony recognized the persons or institutions that have shown remarkable performances during 2008, in various fields of the economic and political life. Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații received the MR. RON Silver Award for “being one of the most innovative law firms in Central and Eastern Europe, according to the Financial Times”.
