Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații takes top spot on Voestalpine’s multi-billion Euro investment in Romania
Romanian government and representatives of Austria's largest steel maker Voestalpine signed today the Memorandum of Understanding which moves the company one step closer to choosing a strategic location to build its steel mill on a greenfield site on the Black Sea coast.
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații advised Voestalpine in relation to all the legal matters pertaining to its proposed investment in Dobrogea area and assisted in negotiations with the Romanian Government and local authorities. The firm fielded a team of 10 lawyers, led by Deputy Managing Partner Ștefan Damian, and Managing Partner Gabriel Zbârcea.
Romania is competing with Bulgaria, Turkey and Ukraine for the large scale investment worth 5 - 7 billion Euro that could create some 7,000 direct jobs and would be the largest FDI in Romania’s history.
