Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații Receives Three Awards at Top Lawyers Gala 2025
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații received three trophies at the Top Lawyers Gala, organised by FinMedia on 10 July. Partners Dragoș Apostol and Dan Cristea were recognised for their work in Corporate/M&A and Litigation, respectively, while the firm was honoured with the award for “20 Years of Excellence in Romanian Business Law.”
The media group FinMedia hosted the 15th edition of the Top Lawyers Gala, an event that celebrates the outstanding contributions of legal professionals, law firms, and teams who shape the legal landscape.
In recognition of his legal advisory work with Romanian entrepreneurs and his ongoing support for building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, Dragoș Apostol, Partner at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, received the award for “Top Lawyer in Corporate/M&A”.
“I’m truly honoured to receive this award — I believe it’s the first individual recognition I’ve received in my 26-year career. Rather than speak about my own work, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that, before we are business lawyers or top-tier attorneys, we are — first and foremost — defenders of fundamental rights and freedoms. This role requires us to advocate not only for our clients but also for the rights and liberties that underpin our society. Let us never forget that we are both the guardians and champions of these essential values”, said Dragoș Apostol upon receiving the award.
The “Top Lawyer in Litigation” award was presented to Dan Cristea, Partner at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, in recognition of his outstanding achievements and for securing landmark outcomes in some of the most complex litigation cases.
“In litigation, your performance is often judged by your most recent result — at least in the client’s eyes. That’s why awards like this are meaningful: they give us a moment to reflect on past achievements. I’d also like to share a quote I hold dear, from Arkansas judge Milas Hale, which I believe captures much of the spirit of our profession: ‘There’s always room for a good lawyer.’ My congratulations to all the winners!” said Dan Cristea during the award ceremony.
Finally, as 2025 marks the 20th anniversary for Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, FinMedia presented the firm with the award “20 Years of Excellence in Romanian Business Law”.
