Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații wins the award for the “Best Ranked Law Firm in Romania” at the Top Lawyers’ Gala
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații received the “Best Ranked Law Firm in Romania” Award of Excellence, by reference to its rankings in the Legal 500 EMEA directory. Also, three lawyers were awarded for their outstanding contributions to the firm’s activity in areas such as Labour Law, Litigation and Intellectual Property.
Top Lawyers’ Gala organised by Finmedia celebrates the remarkable achievements of the legal community, with 19 individual awards and other 8 trophies being handed out to the law firms with outstanding results in the past 12 months.
Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații was crowned as a winner of the “Best Ranked Law Firm in Romania” Award of Excellence further to its market leading position in the Legal 500 EMEA directory. According to the organisers, “Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații leads the rankings for Romania in the 2024 edition of the Legal 500 EMEA directory, with tier one ratings in almost all the areas undergoing research, while no less than three of the firm Partners are included in the elite “Hall of Fame” ranking of individuals who have received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence”.
In addition, Mihai Anghel, Partner and one of the main coordinators of the firm’s Labour and Employment Law practice group received the “Employment Law Award”. With 20 years of legal expertise, Mihai is advising the firm’s clients in relation to hiring and firing, discrimination and harassment, performance appraisals, remuneration and benefits, union issues and collective bargaining agreements, cross border transfer of undertakings, immigration matters, cross-border secondments, etc.
Ana Popa, Managing Associate won the “Litigation Award” for her contribution to complex litigation files, including disputes pertaining to public procurement, construction contracts and contentious-administrative matters. Over the past few years, she successfully represented the firm’s clients in public procurement proceedings related to investment objectives worth more than EUR 1 billion in sectors such as water, transports (railway infrastructure, roads and highways, metro etc), energy and so on.
Further, the “Intellectual Property Law Award” went to Dana Barbu (Blaer), Managing Associate who is actively involved in a variety of intellectual property matters for the firm’s clients. She has extensive experience in trademark registration and licensing at national and international level, trademarks’ enforcement and counterfeiting claims, as well as to copyright, designs and patents, successfully assisting companies active in sectors such as media and entertainment, hospitality, FMCG, retail, automotive, financial services, IT and technology, pharma, energy etc.
According to the organisers, the Top Lawyers’ Gala, now in its 14th edition, honors top-notch lawyers who are at the forefront of the legal profession, as well as law firms with remarkable achievements over the past year.
